"The Ladies of Charity were founded by Saint Vincent DePaul in 1617. In the Vincentian tradition, Ladies of Charity pay particular attention to the needs of the poor, the marginalized and the suffering among us. Ladies of Charity quietly bring the love of Christ to those who are most in need of a reassuring hand.” – Most Reverend David A. Zubik
The LADIES OF CHARITY are homemakers, teachers, professionals, retirees, widows . . . All catholic women, all of different ages. Our common thread is our willingness to see Christ in our fellow man and a desire to serve those IN NEED. We have made a commitment to "serve rather than be served." We are dedicated to help the elderly, assist families in distress, feed the hungry, clothe the needy and sponsor several yearly projects in the parish to fulfill our goal. We aim to provide corporal as well as spiritual nourishment and to be where there is a need. Our mission is to carry on the work of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac in a spirit of humility, simplicity and charity.
